Hi,
I was given a bare bones HP G60-657CA laptop. By bare bones, I mean I have the laptop, without RAM, Harddrive, or wireless card. I have installed a Patriot 4GB RAM module, and a Seagate 750GB hard drive. It is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit. Graphics are Intel 4500, CPU is T6600.
I have tried putting in a second memory module, to bring the unit up to the HP specified 8GB. The system just shows a black screen, no hard drive ativity, no indications that it is booting at all. I have tried swapping the two modules, same result.
I have tried updating the Bios to F.65, and that didn't make any difference either.
Dpes anybody know if this model will actually support 8GB of RAM, or if it will support anything greater than 4GB?

8GB is said there, so it should work.
Are those memory modules same make/model/type? -
They are Patriot 4GB, DDR2-800/PC-6400, CAS 6. From the site of the store that I bought this from, it says:
