Every time I select "high performance" in CCC for Media Player Classis it will not play any video files. It will open the program and load the video but will immediately say "stopped" at the bottom left corner and you can't get the video to play. Are these not compatible or is there some setting I am missing?

I receive intermittant issues using WMP with my dv6. My crappy dv6700z with the same OS and codec package (Shark007, Win7 Codecs) played everything beautifully. But this Radeon 6770M... I dunno - it's always been hit and miss playing the same files. One format it seems to always have issues for me with is ".mkv" (matroska video). Even so, I have noticed that if it isn't playing a particular file type, most of the time, if I switch to using a different splitter, it seems to resolve everything - at least temporarily.

In my opinion; I do not believe that the underlying issue is the media player app used. It's all the Radeon and the way the codecs installed are configured.

Try adding ATI Video Scaler Filter into External Filter and set it as Prefer. I fixed my Mpeg-TS and MP4 playback in MPC-HC this way..

The video play no problem if I have "power saving" selected for MPC and also play no problem in WMP selected as "High Performance". Currently have K-Lite Codec pack 7.9.2 and K-Lite Codec Pack 64-Bit 5.4.0. I have CCC 11.10 installed but i've had the same issue with previous versions. It will play AVI files but not MKV files. It is the latest MPC-HC.

Could you please tell me what items are listed in the Play-> Filters menu at that time?

If ATI Video Scaler Filter is not there, does the video play if H.264/AVC (DXVA) is unticked under MPC-HC options? View-> Options-> Internal Filters (right column)
