    Hey all;

    I've done a clean OS installation on a new DV2. Curiously, there are 1/2 dozen or so different Mediasmart installation packages that apply to my model. Now I am wondering if there is any special order in which these should be installed? I've just purchased an HP USB TV-Tuner off of ebay that should be here in a couple days, and I'll wait for it to show up before installing any of the software. I'm assuming the TV-Software should be first or does it actually matter? Anyone Experiment with this?

    No responses in 6 yrs. hmm. Supposed that's better than HP's so-called support and HP's so-called HP Update utility, ie; ill afforded 3rd world country agents who are just capable of reading from the in large part inadequately drafted cue cards, and regarding the "HP Update" utility, it doesn't even list what 'HP softpacks' (and their versions) are installed (quite a pathetic so-called update utility). As for my my HP Pavilion (that I wiped the crummy Vista from and clean installed Windows 7 Pro), at least I found a half way useful utility for managing updates (software.informer, freeware) and even though it occaisionally lists a version that's outdated by HP's list of available updates, at least it lists most of what I've got installed (less some utilities/updates not listing, eg; like my installed HP Connection Manager, Intel Chipset Installation Utility, Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family Graphics Driver, Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller, JMB38X Card Reader Host Controller Driver, but al least (unlike HP's update website supposedly model specific web page) SI doesn't list/recommend installing things like a BIOS update that according to HP's details about the listed update as it being only for Vista laptops. Sadly though (I deem it as criminal negligence), I've yet to find anyone affording more than just enough info to get us into trouble when updating or installing utilites, update, patches and the like.
