I would like to see a sticky for this so we have a place to put our memory issues with the zv6000 series notebooks.

Has anyone had success installing two 3200/400 memory modules in their notebook?

Ive installed one new 1gig stick of 3200/400 memory, but when I install two, the system crashes. Any advice would be greatful?

So far I have not heard of anyone having success installing two 3200 memory sticks. Saw this on ZV6000forums.com in one or more thread.

I am curious now if the the ZV6000 will support 400 mhz memory? Tech support from one of the memory manufactures has indicated to me that he believes that the ZV6000 would not run any higher that 333 even though 400 memory would work.

If you put in PC3200 it'll try to run at that speed... and two standard double-sided PC3200 sticks will fail unless you're really lucky. On a desktop it'd be easy to force the BIOS to use PC2700. Like I've said before, when HP switches to E-revision Athlon 64 cores you will probably be able to run pairs of PC3200 SODIMMs (they improved the integrated memory controller).
