    I want to know which type of memory I should get for my envy 15 running :

    i720 processor

    and

    5830 radeon

    Crucial is usually good for getting the right kind of RAM, but it was wrong, for example, with my ENVY, saying that there was a max of 8 GB RAM, where it is really 16 GB. Check the HP site for your specific model if you want to be exactly sure about the RAM type/maximum.

    YES, your correct the 2nd generation Envy's can run 16GB. However since Crucial does not make 8GB strips, they are not offering it in there advice. That's why there is a difference. In fact the 8GB strips are more expensive than most SSD drives, which actually would be a better performance option, as crazy as it is!. Just my 2 cents..
