Hello, I'm new to these forums and i know it is rude to just barge in and ask questions, but i am a little stressed at the moment.

Laptop was working fine last night, but i got home from work today and tried to turn it on and it would run for about 10 seconds (no video displayed) and then restart and try over for as long as i would let it. Then i noticed my memory slot light was on, the problem is i have never plugged anything in to the slot in the first place.

I do have a 3 year warranty and can take it back to best buy and get it fixed, i just wanted to make sure it wasn't something really dumb and i go embarrass myself, and also waste gas money :p

Anyways, im not to great with computers but im not a complete noob. The slot says SD.MS / Pro.MMC.XD and its an HP MX703 i believe.

If you need more information please just post what you need and i will get it to you.

Thank you very much in advance.

    Yawn (im tired)

    Hi

    Please try the following:

    1) Take out the battery pack and unplug the AC power

    2) Hold the power button for 30 seconds or more

    3) Only plug in the AC power this time and try starting up again

ive done that, its not the battery or power supply.

Thanks though. I was wondering if there is a way to disable the memory card slot all together in computer manage. I looked in the bios to see if it was on the boot order but it wasnt.

    Thanks for the reply.
