I sold a 2x2gb kingston ddr2-667 modules for bought 2x2gb kingston ddr2-800 module (doesn't cost anything for me) to have fsb-dram ratio to 1:1, but the system looks that is not supported.
It's incredible because the specifications of the chipset are for 800mhz, but the bios doesn't seem to support it.
And the bios is not configurable at all.
Anyone knows?
Thank you.

The chipset does not support 800MHz RAM, it will always downclock to 667MHz. You need a Montevina chipset for that, which will be introduced in the next line of laptops.

This is straight from the user manual found here

Hi, guys, thanks for the answers
.
First, I can say that the chipset supports ddr2-800 in the intel specification.
Second, today you can choose the hp compaq 8510x with 8gb of ram (and the specifications only say 4gb...). Then, at the same way, it's possible that the bios is limited... and could be possible to use ddr2-800.
So, the fsb in this platform is 800, and the divisor of fsb:dram are 3:5 (or 5:3, I can't remember), is it so difficult to adjust 1:1 the divisor? I don't think so.
It's HP that don't want to do this.
I don't understand... -
well,
dig a little in the forums... there are hundreds of threads about santa rosa supporting 800 mhz ram, but it will only run with 667 mhz. there is no bios limitation, it´s a chipset limitation.
intel´s santa rosa does not provide 800 mhz for the ram.
