I have a m7750n HP Pavilion PC, it comes with 2 gigs of memory. I just purchased a GeForce 9800 gtx+ graphics card and installed it, it uses 1 gig of memory.

When I play games my psychical memory shoots up to almost 100% and have a very low fps. I was wondering if there is a way to improve this. Is my system eligible to get another gig?

    thanks

What OS do you have? Oh by the way, your graphics card won't affect your memory usage. You have a dedicated card which has it's own memory on the chip, it doesn't need to use your RAM.

I'm pretty sure you could get at least 1 gig more in there depending on whether you have a 32 or 64 bit OS, if 64 then you should be able to get at least 8 gigs in there (that's pretty much the standard). Also make sure that when you replace the RAM that you make it run in dual channel mode as it will run better that way

I have a vista 32 bit OS. If the graphics card is dedicated to another memory then why is my computer lagging so much more after I installed the card. Would getting another gig help my computer anyway if that's not the case?

I would ask borrow some RAM from a forend and then see if it makes a difference, once you know then you can give it back and you know where you stand

This thread will be closed soon so ill post while i can. The graphics card dosent use memory but i have that exact desktop it has very slow memory. By the way does your m7750n have an AMD Athlon 5000+ or a 5200+ because its ment to come with a 5000+ but mine came with a 5200+
