I got an HP ze4610us that came with 256mb ram but i added a 125mb stick shortly after i bought it. I was gonna search ebay for another stick of 256. Does it matter if i get PC2100 or PC2700? and also is there a certain brand not to get? I've been looking at Crucial (of course), samsung, PNY, Kingston, IBM.

crucial is one of the most reliable, and for the best performance you should get ram of the same spec as what you will have in there, i.e. if you have PC 2700 match it, if you have PC 2100, putting PC 2700 will not get extra speed because it will match the speed of the lowest factor.
