watergun provides a link to a program called Core Temp in this message in the Sony forum here that is supposed to be an accurate temperature monitor for Intel Merom and Yonah (Core Duo) CPUs and AMD Rev. F and G CPUs. Turion X2's are Revision F cores so in theory it should read them as well as the Socket AM2 desktop CPUs. Plain Turions are Revision E and aren't recognized (tried it).

Some people here ought to be geting their HP TX2 notebooks this week, so let us know if this works :D.
