    Might consider reordering with Steel Gray, pics anyone?

    I am reordering my dv6t qe. I currently have dark umber but may consider steel gray. Does anyone happen to have a pic of their steel gray dv6? If so, may you share?

    yeah i like the umber better than the steel gray. Especially the gray that had the wavey line designs on it.

    I actually love the steel grey over the black dv7 I used to own (last years model). the keyboard and mouse still shows oily marks, but the rest of the laptop is much much much cleaner. As someone else put it the older black models looked like you just ate fried chicken and used your computer as a wet wipe.

    Or ate your computer and used your fried chicken as a wet wipe?

    The fingerprints aren't so bad on the umber for me, but it just looks better, especially with the trackpad light. I'm sure the silver will stay cleaner looking though.

    Mine gets here next week and I really don't care what color case it has..lol I kind of like the Silver but I wasn't about to pay extra money for it. From what I've read people have been getting the Silver even when ordering the umber so I guess it'll be a surprise when I open the box..lol

    In a way, it's really just a wash :p

    That said, if I got the silver when I had ordered the umber, there may have been ways to complain and get some money back. I'm not sure if you could due to the specific color issue, but if you check the order status thread there are great tips on how to get some money back.

    Its weird how on the dv6t you have to pay extra for the steel grey yet on the dm4x you have to pay extra for the dark umber XD

    Anyone got any pics for the dark umber?
    The steel grey really didn't look grey imo in those pics :S

    The steel gray doesn't photograph well, but looks wonderful in person. Personally, I've come to like it more than the dark umber, which I initially preferred. It's very much like an industrial stainless steel appliance with a hint of bronze in it. It also repels fingerprints better than anything I've seen. I haven't had to do a wipe down yet!
