    So I've purchased a Sapphire active Mini-Displayport to DVI SL for an unrelated setup, but since I do not have any use for it for the time being I thought I'd give it a shot on my laptop....

    And obviously, no dice. Reading up on the matter, it would appear that it's a fairly common issue and I couldn't see any fix. I'm running off BIOS F.23 and Catalyst 11.4, so I doubt updating either would help.

    Is there any way of doing this bar entering adapter lottery?
