I have a DV 6000T which I got back in Jan 2007. It came with Windows MCE and they sent me the initial Vista basic 32 disc which I never installed.

I am planning on reformatting (it has virus, spyware, etc issues), but I would like to put in some more RAM and a new 320 GB Hard drive. I made the 4 back up DVD's for the OS, which I assume I can install on a new hard drive just like an out of the box laptop (maintaining the HP Programs).

I also would like to not install any of the bloatware, but don't know how to remove that during installation.

Will this work, and do you have any other suggestions for modding this?
I am going to use this laptop for Sound Production and want to make it as efficient and powerful as possible.

    Thanks!

There was a thread on how to do a clean install off the recovery disc, you'd have to do a search. (good luck with that)
