I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a modified Beats driver or knows how to modify the driver to change the default values for bass and treble in the "tone controls" tab in the "speakers and headphones" properties. I change them, but if I turn beats off and on, or restart my dv6, the values go back to 4. Or, could I uninstall the Beats driver and install a generic IDT driver and keep the equalizer?

Yeah but doesn't that drop the EQ and everything too?

Thanks for the link! I actually couldn't get the driver you linked to to work, but I used one of the modified drivers on that forum. 6162.3 is the driver that I'm using. Anything newer than that does not work.

It does. Go to this thread and download the 6162.3 driver to keep everything. They are very sightly buggy, but as a whole, they work just fine once configured.
