okay, i dissasembled my presario cq60 and when i put it together the monitor won't activate.

i tried using an external monitor and the monitor refused to turn on from standby, a safety feature of the monitor. the small card in the underneath with 2 wires leading 2 the monitor, (i assume that is the laptop version of a graphics card) is fine, inserted properly, and i had a slight issue with the plugs fitting, but that was soon resolved. anyone have an idea what the hell is going on?

That small card with the 2 wires is actually the wireless card. And if you had problems fitting the ribbon cables, you probably broke one.

i did think that, seeing as the wires look like an ariel, and the card seemed the right size. but the ribbon (far thicker than a ribbon actually) was not an issue. i can only think of a power failure to the monitor, as the power to the caps lock light isn't working either (insignificant if it wasn't on the same power port)

thanks tho, i was really unsure of myself till now
