I heard somewhere on this forum that HP is supposed to provide the option to upgrade to a better video card soon on hpshopping. I want to go with the core duo, but the GMA 950 is a serious turn-off. Does anybody know of HP's future plans to provide more customizable options?

I don't see it happening, but I could be wrong.

They were supposed to offer the Go 7200 with the Intel versions of the dv2000T, no idea what happened to that plan. But there have been some preconfigured models with the Go 7200 appeared on HP's website. So, they might be releasing it pretty soon with the CTO models.

Some of those pre-config setups are really nice. Can we order those?

No, most of those pre-sonfigured models are Europe specific models since they all have the 'ea' tag in the end of the model number. Also in most cases, these pre-configured models are sold through HP resellers/retailers only and some limited number of models are actually listed for sale at HPshopping.
