This is a little hard to explain.
Under the Heat Sink, on the motherboard, near the GPU chip, there is a receptacle for the #5 heat sink screw. This receptacle has come loose from the board. I do not believe it was soldered to the board, but attached with some form of adhesive.
I would appreciate some input on what type of adhesive to use to reattach this receptacle bearing in mind that it brings the heat sink in contact with the GPU chip.

It would be nice if you could post pictures to give us a better idea of what the problem is.

Basically it is a round bolt about 1/8 inch in diameter that accepts the screw from the heat sink. This "bolt" broke loose from the mother board. Need glue recommendation

The things heats up a good bit. Most glue's wont work at all. I have o suggestions though. Try bringing it to a good computer repair shop and letting them deal with it. They should have the right equipment.

Thanks, I should have thought of that! I'll bet that solution works for all the problems on this forum, My solution is to take some button thread and tie the heat sink to the motherboard. It provides the contact between the chip and the heatsink and has a slight elastisity to allow for expansion due to heat

No, not at all. I was simply suggesting it as a reputable computer shop should have the type of glue necessary for the job.
You could try some of this i guess: Newegg.com - Arctic Silver Alumina AATA-5G Thermal Adhesive
But i am not sure how well it it will work.
