    I think my motherboard has cooked and I dont know what the serial number or details are of it .

    I figured that I would try and replace it myself even tho I havent a clue where to start . No doubt I could learn .
    I have geneology info I would like to recover .. My hard drive I think is okay I think as the page stops at windows and reverts to a colourless piece of you know what!!!!

    Has anyone got any suggestions . A techie not only would cost me more than the laptop is worth but I probably would wait forever to get it done.
