The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Not sure if this was discussed anywhere before, but for some of us who are looking to hook up several monitors to our laptops there is a great way to do this as I recently found out (does not require the new Envy 17). I am currently running 3 monitors in addition to the laptop display on my 2nd generation Envy 15 under Windows 7.

    This will probably not be a great solution for gamers who require high framerate continues video on all monitors, but for others who run business apps or stock trading apps, this is a very effective and inexpensive solution which can support upto 6 external monitors.
