    Mute button not showing orange when muted

    Tried searching, but only got "invalid search query" or something. When I click the mute button my dv6 6160us, it doesn't turn orange. Any ideas as to why it's not working properly?

    I had this happen to me. It started working again when I moved to Windows 8, so I'm thinking it's a driver issue rather than a firmware or hardware issue. Try reinstalling HP Software Framework from the drivers section of your laptop's support page on HP's site. It'll be under "Software - Solutions"

    Do you mean uninstall and then install? Or just install over it.
