    Does my 8510p have a Toshiba hard drive? :confused:

    Secondly, I just did a fresh install of Vista Business 64-bit. I need to know what these undetected things are other than the obvious fingerprint reader and such. Meaning, what is base system device.

    Yeah...notebooks have drives from all sorts of manufacturers, even notebooks of the same model... :)

    for the missing devices, try the Hp 3d driveguard, hp quicklaunch buttons, and he intel amt...

    these should be it. if something is left, doublecheck with the drivers available at hp, and you will see whats missing.

    BTW, I installed the wireless drivers from HP.com but the wireless thing didn't show up in the control panel under Networl and Internet.

    mine has a Hitachi and my school's HP has a Fujitsu HD,and mine is 120gb and the school stuff is the 250gb.

    and my just sold HP DV2761tx had a Fujitsu as well.
