When my laptop was new, while gaming the max temp use to be around 60C. Now it's around 70C. Why is this? Due to dust collecting in the vents and fan?

Right on - dust in the vents can significantly increase temperatures. As of yet, I've still been too busy to clean up my Averatec's vents, and its operating temperatures are some 20 degrees warmer than when I first bought it.

Did a quick search of the OP's old posts and found that the OP received his laptop last year May. So a fair amount of dust will have collected by now.

It's almost a year old and I usually leave my laptop on 24/7 while connected to the charger. I have removed the battery so it doesn't drain its life by constantly being charged.

Clean it! My nx9420 had a LOT of dust in the heatsink after a year. This model even have two exhausts so I'd imagine your model is even more sensitive to dust.
About 60 % of the CPU heatsink fins was covered with dust, it was like a piece of carpet and you couldn't see through it.
Point a strong light source against the intake and try to look in the exhaust, do you see the fan through the fins, or is it all dust?

How do I clean it? I remember that there was a thread here on how to open and clean the 8510p but can't seem to find it. I would appreciate it if someone could link me to that thread.
