After a few months of researching notebooks, Today, I finally ordered my first notebook, a custom built zt3000. The notebooks that I considered before choosing the zt3000 were the Dell Inspiron 8600, Gateway 505x, Toshiba Satellite M30 Series, and a Compaq Presario x1000 series.
Since I have a very good, powerful, and home built desktop to play games, to do school work, business, and surf the internet. I really did not need gamers notebook.
Below are the specs on the zt3000.
1. Pentium M 1.5 GHz
2. Windows XP Home
3. 1 stick of 512MB DDR Ram
4. 60 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive
5. DVD/CDRW Combo Drive
6. Intel Pro Wireless 2200 802.11b/g WLAN
7. 15.4 WSXGA Monitor
8. 64MB ATI 9200 Video Card
9. MS Works/Money
Total Price is $1,606.54 with academic pricing, 10% off, and $100 mail in rebate.
