I just bought a 19" HDTV from sharp and on the box, it states that the maximum resolution it's capable of displaying is 1080i, so I think 720p is no problem.

It seems that my HP doesn't show the option for displaying at 1366x768, but other resolution settings larger and smaller than this. Is there a way to edit system files so I could have the 1366x768 as one of the resolution options ?

I can display 1080p on my larger HDTV, so it's not a matter of display cards I assume :).
