    Hi,
I been trying to get better temps and improving overall efficiency of my HP Pavilion DV5-1015TX today.

Using the undervolting guide (from here) I managed to get my voltages down to 1.000 V with RMClock but couldnt find any options for going lower than this. Also RMClock was not able to identify my CPU (P7350), am wondering if maybe this is not alllowing to go any lower?

Also after noticing the temperatures during gaming yesterday (discussed in the thread "Tooooooooo Hot 9600m gt"), I used FurMark and ran the stability test for 30 mins at the max res (1280 x 800) supported. The 9600M GT went to a high of 96*C and stayed there during the test with an average of 14 FPS (min=12 and max =21)
Overall I think these are acceptable. Could some please confirm these?

[EDIT]BTW forgot to mention that I had the back of the laptop raised with a 1" thick book under it.[/EDIT]
    TIA

96C is EXTREMELY hot. I would try to shoot for more like 80C, 85C max. Running your GPU that hot for prolonged periods of time can cause the GPU to fail.

    Ok.
I guess then the only other option would be to get a good cooling pad?
    Any other suggestions?

Any recommendations on a good cooler pad for the DV5-1015TX?
I would like to get at least a 10*C reduction in temps with it?

Like Teraforce said, stick in the 80, maybe 85 C range. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
