I had a bit of time on my hands yesterday so thought I'd put together a bit of a review on my Dv5 (specs in sig). A brief look at the style and features followed by a boot into vista with a look at features in action and what's any review of a laptop with a 9600m gt without a bit of gaming? So I've got some Call of Duty 4 multiplayer action in there also.

If you've got fast internet you can watch in high quality.

nice vid man, was nice to watch. I have the Dv5-1157ca. difference is the CPU, which you have the nicer one and I have the 4GB of RAM/ Infinity screen. Thanks for the info on the Esata port also, I did not know it doubled as a USB port also, thats some sweet stuff. :) I checked out what you said about the gamma and now my screen has a better darker colour to it.

    thanks!

From what I've read the "t" in dv5t shows it's an intel based laptop. So the laptop I reviewed would come under that classification even though it's not marketed as such here in NZ. The dv5 1135 would also come under dv5t being intel based. The Dv5 "t" marketing seems to be an American thing.

Nice video....but @Grantman...did you notice that there is an uneven surface at the joint next to the Capslock light on your laptop?
And you have got a sensational commanding voice!!!....you can become a top top journalist!

p1990 you are right and yeap I have noticed it in the past. The join between the perforated top cover section and the palm rest bottom section is not as smooth as it could be.

Commanding voice :D ? I recon I sound like a goofball now and then *cringe*, actually a bit embarrassing listening to myself.

I know in my DV5 i have an "uneven" serface around the I O P keys. I just think it is part of the casing. Does not affect the keys use and you can't even notice it if your not looking direclty at it in the right angel,
