After 3 months my dv9500t screen turned black..but an external monitor worked..& send it in for repair..came back dirty..filthy...& the lcd would not lock..the latch did not catch so it did not close. I send it back & was told That the could not find a problem. After contacting HP Headquarters in CA I finally talked to somebody in the Ivory Tower...I was suppose to be contacted within 2-3 hrs by my case manager..Nobody ever returned the call. My laptop was listed "on hold" no shipping date,
Next day I called the Ivory Tower people again and reluctantly they got the case manager to contact me.
My conclusion is now...since this was the 2nd return to repair that "COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING" is a way out to get a "second return to Repair" on record. The case manager more or less hinted that. BECAUSE a blind man can feel when a laptop is not latching.
REPAIR fix it of record...!
the laptop will be back tomorrow..I don't expect much any more!

You can file an online claim with the Better Business Bureau if you are still under warranty.

Better Business Bureau will get you what you want much quicker than you can yourself...believe me I have done it before

I'm never buying from HP again. They won't take my stupid printer back because its passed 2 days and they are the ones who sent me a faulty laptop and told me they can't get it back within 2 weeks before I leave Europe so they lost 1,200 dollars because they didn't want to upgrade shipping for 40 bucks.
I've had to deal with so much from HP -They were way better in the past.
Glad I'm sitting here with a Dell -

Have you checked to see if they have any repair centers you can drop it off at in the area of Europe you are moving to? Many of us have suffered at the hands of HP, I feel for ya.
