My hp laptop will not turn on. I didn't install any software or hardware. Everything seems to work fine when I turn it on but after I see the Windows boot loading screen it then sends me to a screen that gives me options on how I could boot it and I tried all of it, safemode, last working configuration etc. A blue dos window shows up and then I go through this procedure over and over never fully tunring on. I took a video of the blue screen because it's super fast you could barely read it and this is what it said:

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

    UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen. restart your computer. If this screen appears again. follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safemode ......(it just ends there)

    Help :(

Bad HD? Run the HD test in the BIOS. If that passes you might need to reload the OS.

If your dv2000 has a NVIDIA GPU it could be failing though your symptoms are more consistent with HD failure.
