    My Presario is feeling blue...

    or at least, I think so. I bought a Compaq Presario CQ60-211DX because it was cheap and I wanted a "backup" machine as I paid way too much for my MacBook to get "rough" with it (i.e. travel, put it in a full bookbag, take it to my school in a relatively high crime area, etc).

    Well, basically you get what you pay for because this machine seems to run slower than molasses.

    However, an annoying problem has popped up in that there seems to be a blue-streaked "tint" that started on pics and some video, that now exists on regular webpages as well. I haven't smashed the screen or spilled liquid on it. Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be here? I have a 1 year warranty on it that's still good, but I'd rather try to fix it myself. Hopefully it's that simple.

    Its got a single core celeron processor yet it runs Vista. No wonder its slow.

    I had a HP that did that. The screen was being bent and so it had to be fixed. Send it back when you can.
