HI guys.. I have an HP DV2000t notebook... I have a question, does the recovery partition goes back whenever you perform a system recovery via recovery disks? I didn't have the recovery partition before coz i accidentally deleted it.. but when I performed a system recovery via my recovery disks, the recovery partition appeared again... hmmm... is this normal?

My guess is that it's normal. The recovery disks where probably made when you had a recovery partition.

Yes, if you used the recovery disks then they are capable of putting the system back to factory state. So, it will restore the recovery partition as well Quickplay partition(if equipped)

Yup. When you restore your system using the recovery discs, it will format and re-partition the primary hard-drive to it's original, factory state.

The recovery discs create the partition, then restore your discs to it. Once that is done, it will restore the rest of your system off the created partition. So it is copying everything twice, which is why it's so slow :(
