Had some free time, so I thought I would share my Vista experiance with the forum here.
I have a DV2020US that originaly shipped with Windows XP Home. I purchased this Laptop new from Best Buy, with the intension of upgrading to Vista Premium when it was shipped.
The first thing I did was bump the ram up to 2GB DDR2 667, then changed the HDD out for a 120GB Western Digital. Then I waited . . . and waited . . . . and waited for 2 months, not using the HP, until Vista was released. After purchasing Premium, I spent the next 2 days trying to find drivers, with little success, except for what I found on this board. Finally, on the 3rd, I took the step and booted to the Vista dvd, and my fears were put to rest 2 hours later, when I had a fully functioning, responsive HP laptop in my hands. All drivers worked perectly, and have ever since. The only issue I had was an update from Windows for my HD Sound that broke my volume control, but I simply removed the driver and things were back to normal. My WEI rating is a fine 3.2, and I have to admit, I love this laptop, and I can't see myself parting with it anytime soon.
Just my thoughts and experiences here, any questions feel free to ask.

What brand of memory you purchased?
I am thinking of upgrading my memory for my dv2000t, but don't know what 1Gb brand I should get.
Could you give me the specific information about this? Thank you -
Kingston KVR667DS5/1G D2-667 all the way.
