My old Presario 2100 crashed two days ago...

When I start it up, it looks like Windows will start running and then an obnoxious blue screen with white font letters pops up and tells me that there is an error starting windows (something related to hardware) and then moves on to a regular black background screen with white font letters that has 3 or four options to start windows in a safe mode...

Whichever option I get, doesn't matter...the laptop eventually returns to the obnoxious blue screen and starts all over again...

Anybody has this happened to them?
    Thanks for your help guys!

    Blue Screen of Death.

Does it say which particular part of the hardware it might be???? I'm guessing hard drive failure but maybe some better informed people here can help you out.

well u need to read what the blue screen says cuz it will at least vaguely tell u if its a hardware or software problem. cant u do a system recovery and reinstall windows? the screen cud say anything really, at one point i got a BSOD cuz id installed a antivirus program that wasnt compatible so noone can help u and u cant urself unless u can find out what it says. still a system recovery maybe a good option, hard to fix something like this when u cant even enter any windows option
