hey guys, new here, signed up after lurking and reading a lot of helpful threads.

Anyway i just got a new HDX16t and 15 days after i got it they released the new core i7 dv7ts etc. So i boxed that back up and sent it in.

I have my new DV7T now, but I kinda miss my HDX :( I really liked that 1080p screen, loved the silver color & backlit keyboard.

I only sent it back because i couldn't see paying HDX prices for a laptop that isn't latest technology.

I'm REALLY hoping HP updates the HDX16 with core I7 because this will go back in a heartbeat. The fit and finish on the hdx is miles better than the dv7t. HDX was absolutely flawless when arrived. Best laptop i've ever touched. When I got my DV7T, the keyboard was loose on the windows key side, and the damn remote is very hard to push in and out of its storage bay.

Like I said though, I SAVED $300+ by "upgrading" to the new processor and 230m graphics.

I have 2 questions really: How hot are the Core I7s supposed to run? Mine idles around 50deg c and when watching a video online & browsing the net it will hit 70. nothing is blocked, fan def working.

Next is: Any idea when/if HP is going to upgrade HDX16 to these specs? I really hope its within the 21 days of me having this. I really miss my HDX :(

Thanks in advance guys! this is a great place!!!
