    Hi! Guys,
Just got a brand new HP ENVY 14 (14.5" Display with beat) in a lovely bronze finish. last month. Saw this wonderful forum dedicated for this laptop so decided to join.

When I got the laptop do remember that the resolution was 1920x1080 but after some HP downloads of intel & AMD drivers the resolution now shows 1600x900. Is this correct for my Envy? Cant go back too. Need some help guys.

Here in India they only sell the laptop and not the slim 6-cell battery that fits underneath the whole laptop. Also want to buy the external bronze finish Blu-ray drive. Does anyone know where to get it?

    Rgds

Envy 14 never had an option for 1080p. What you got is the rare and highly-prized Radiance 900p screens. In terms of the slice battery, you will need to order online at the HP Store but I heard that HP stopped selling them recently so eBay might be your only alternative.

Saber has rightfully pointed out that the notebook you just received is with the 1600x900 radiance display.

The one you received is those of the 'older' stocks I believe. The newer ones no longer have the Radiance display and is of the 1388x768 resolution.

Take good care of it and feel lucky you got that one instead of the 1366x768 BrightView one, ppl here (myself included) would to anything to get one of those (it's discontinued as of now) ;)

Don't drop it! Seems to be a Radiance induced side effect on owners in this forum. :p
