    My new dv9500 is really a dv9300?

I registered the HP Care Pack via email. I received a pdf file back with my warranty information. When I opened and reviewed the information I notice the model was written as HP W/K dv9300 Base NB PC. I thought it was a typo since I have the dv9500. So I contacted HP and they said that this is the unit's name internally within HP. This seems kind of odd.

Furthermore, I notice that the top right corner of the screen says dv9000? However, when I flip it upside down it says dv9500. I'm assuming that they haven't updated the model number on the screen yet since it's really new, but why is a dv9300 internally?

Can anyone shed some light on this?

From the specs listed, I can tell you that no, your dv9500 is NOT a dv9300.

Besides, it'd make little difference even if it was. It's the specs inside that count, not the model name.
