I currently have an NAS 3-in-1 and need a new laptop, which I would like to use with the docking station.

All I can find is the following -

    Compatibility The HP 3-in-1 NAS Docking Station is compatible with HP Compaq 4200, 4400, 6100, 6200, 6300, 6400, 6510, 6515, 6710, 6715, 6910 7400, 8200, 8400, 8510, 8710 and 9400 series Notebook PCs and HP Compaq 4200 and 4400 series Tablet PCs.
NOTE: Some notebook models do not support the docking feature.
NOTE: DVI is not supported on the HP Compaq 6100 and 6300 series.
NOTE: Not all models are available in all regions.

So, does "9400 series" include both the dv9410 and the nx9420? I know it works with the "nx", but am not sure about the "dv".

Thanks for any insight! :) Great forum.

No, the dv9400 is NOT compatible. The docking stations are ONLY for the HP-Compaq business notebooks.
