    NC 8430 two problems

    1) Somehow x1600 is refusing to switch to full performance (even enabled in any combination on ati powerplay) Tryed all kinds of drivers - omega, original, newest etc.

    2) It might be connected to fact that after 2.5 month usage the battery all the time stays on 95% level. Almost all the time was using laptop on AC.


    Any thoughts?

    fixed battery, discharged a bit, plugged out, plugged in, and everything seems just fine - however wasn't for some 1 week

    about the x1600 not working in the full performance still no go, weird is that it was working ok, but somehow stopped


    btw new bios is out... (Dated December 2006)...

    Whenever you've installed drivers, you've installed the Catalyst Control Center (CCC)? If so, try uninstalling it and installing ATI Tray Tools ( http://www.guru3d.com/article/atitraytools/189/ ) instead and see if that helps at all.
