I have an NC4010 and want to replace the HDD
Will a Western Digital Scorpio Blue 250GB ATA be compatible?
Apart from RAM are there any other parts of this notebook that are upgradeable?
-
apparently that small computer has a socketed cpu, so you can upgarade that too. upgrade to another pentium m(400mhz fsb) only
the Western Digital Scorpio Blue 250GB should be compatible because it has an ide/p-ata interface(not sata) and is a 2.5" hard drive.
also upgradable is the bios if you feel like it. -
I have now upgraded the HDD and all is working well.
I currently have a Pentium M 735 1.7GHz - what else is available to upgrade to and where can I get one?
Also where can I find Bios upgrade? -
How many RAM slots do you have? I'm trying to sell off two sticks of 1GB PC 2700 333MHz ram. They're from my older laptop and work very well.

I have 2 RAM slots both with 512mb in.
I've been told that this laptop can only take a maximum of 1GB. -
ahh alrighty...it was worth a shot though...

I think I've found a processor t upgrade to. But would firsy like someone to confirm to me that it will work, plus my bios will run it.
I cunnrent have a Pentium M 735 1.7GHz and have found a Pentium M 755 2GHz SL7EM here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Intel-PENTIUM-M-CENTRINO-PROCESSOR-755-2GHZ-2MB-SL7EM_W0QQitemZ230278598289QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item230278598289&_trkparms=72%3A985|39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318
