The fan on my NC 8000 turns on for 15 secs, then turns off, and repeats the behavior. I have NHC, and its supposedly controlling the fan. But I dont think its doing it right. My NHC settings are:
    low: 55c
    mid: 55C
    high: 60c

Pre-NHC, it was even worse. fan would "moo"

Any solution for this ? I dont like the fan swithcing this often.

I don't think NHC supports fan controlling.

Anyway, that's how your system is set up. To run the fan at a certain temp, and then to shut off the fan when the temps reaches a certain point. Thus, unless you contact HP and possibly get a new BIOS that changes things, you are stuck with it.

I know my old Acer did that also, so I can attest on how annoying it is. But you just have to live with it, unless like I said you can update your BIOS with one that has different fan settings.
