Is there an 8430 / Windows XP Pro user on this forum who can tell me whether the system has to be in Administrator mode for the 8430 fingerprint reader to function ?

Why do I ask ? Because I normally run my computers in XP User mode to prevent unwanted software from being installed on the machine. I change into Administrator mode only when I want to install software or make system changes. It's just a simple security precaution in addition to firewall, AV, spyware checks, complex passwords, etc etc.

It would be pain in the neck if I had to log in as Administrator each time I want to use the fingerprint reader.

I've only fooled around with it sparingly so far, but I think that the Administrator can allow other users to set up accounts with the reader. Will check later.
