The NC8430 upgraded to vista seems to have compatibility issues with the firewire system. After the upgrade I don't see any IEEE/firewire device in the device manager and making video transfer through firewire is impossible. Anyone have any luck with firewire enabled with vista on nc8430?

Vista works with firewire if that's what you're asking. It usually doesn't need a driver for it to recognize the firewire port, just like the USB ports.
