It may sound me being too picky but here is the storysorry for being lengthy)
hi everyone, I ordered a dv6 quick-ship model from HP for christmas and I was instantly in love with it. The feature I like the most is the glossy finish on the surface including the KEYBOARD... however, there is this hard drive problem that makes a clicking sound everytime the HDD activity light blinks. So I decided to order another dv6 but this time I ordered a dv6 quad edition customized. Upon receiving the quad edition, opened it, and I was immediately disappointed. Reason is that everything on the suface is the same EXCEPT THE KEYBOARD! the quad edition keyboard is the NON-glossy one and it feels much more rough and cheap and not fit into the overall glossy appearance of the laptop. so I called the HP support and I was told that "All customized dv6 quad got the same non-glossy keyboard I got" The non-glossy one appears and feels much cheaper. I have both laptop side by side and you can totally tell the difference. Not to mention for the battery charger for the customized one I received is much more bulky( twice as big) and the box that came with the laptop is with no HP art markings because it was shipped straight from China internationally.
My question is do you guys think it is supposed to be like that? whether from experience or just thoughts.
Responses are much appreciated.

As a rule of thumb:
-Most Intel C2D with intel gfx= 65 watts
-Intel C2D with dedicated GFX=90 watts
-Intel Quads =120 Watts -

Very interesting - is the keyboard on the dv6t quad like the ones on the budget HP G60/G70 notebooks? If so then that is disappointing; the standard dv6 has a very pleasant keyboard.
If the keyboard bothers you that much and you don't have a specific use for all the processing power of the Core i7 processor, perhaps return the quad edition and order a regular dv6. There's nothing wrong with the Core 2 Duo processor.
If possible we'd like to see some pictures of that keyboard. -
yep, you're too picky

My DV6t quad keyboard has a matt finish, as it gives no reflection when compared to the palrm rest which is glossy and reflective.

Yeah, mine is the same as pic 1,2,3 a matt finish, 4,5,6 look glossy.
I prefer the matt finish to the keys.
