    I recently updated my dv2775ee o F.2D. This F.2E is about SD cards. So I am not sure it correct or improve anything about fan control.

    Did you update?

    Yeah I did the update, everything went just fine...You don't NEED to upgrade, I just like having the latest BIOS.

    My SD reader is fine, so i will probably hold off till the next update.

    My dv2500 special edition is exactly 1 year old from today.. so far no GPU failure..

    Just updated today! Mine since July '07. No issues so far. GPU is hot though. Is it normal to have 60C idle and around 90C on heavy load on GPU? Fan seems to work fine. What are your temps?

    For CPU, my dv2775ee has about 50C on idle and on full load game (I don't know if the two cores are full loaded or not) reaches at most 73C.

    For GPU, in gaming the temp reached 80C and on idle it is a bout 60C

    Sorry for the mine :p

    Just upgraded from F.25! Haven't really noticed a difference, except for the fan always being on when it would previously be off under 40 degrees. Card reader writing seems the same.

    Hey guys another dv2500t owner here. Mine just turned 2 years old last month and sure enough the gpu started to go. I would get a black screen and there was no signal through the external monitor. When cool, sometimes, would start up giving time to make all the tests to discard any software problem. Well I ended up opening the laptop up and removing the heat sink. Had the nvidia chip resoldered and replaced the cpu paste to arctic ice. For the gpu I used a thermal pad. Im typing through the laptop and the temps seem the same for the gpu but seem lower for the cpu.
    Core 0=36c
    Core 1=39c
    gpu=59c
    hdd=47c
    These temps are on my lap, with firefox,wifi and balanced power mode.
    May try the copper mod for the gpu at a later time.
