Well i have information from a supplier that they will be receiving new models soon, the names are strange but look at the specs!

    HP MINI 5041 /HARBOUR/1GB/80GB/10.1"/GMA950/WC/BT/XPH
    HP PAVILION 5035 /P7450/4GB/320GB/13.4"/DVDRW/GEFORCE G105M/VHP
    HP PAVILION 5054 /P7450/4GB/320GB/15.6"/DVDRW/RADEON HD4530/WC/VHP
    HP PAVILION 5085 /T9550/4GB/500GB/17.3"/DVDRW/RADEON HD4650/WC/VHP

These are just some models of each screen size, so dont look at the specs since u know they vary, the numbers 5xxx i dont know what they mean, they might change, anyone know of these series coming up? pics? check the new screen sizes.. 13.4" like dells adamo.. 15.6" killing out 15.4" and 17.3" the new 17"... new ATI Radeons.. new Geforces.. and a new mini!

    enjoy.

I think the 5xxx numbers are just stock numbers that are only useful to the supplier you got this from. They don't mean anything to us. :)

From those specifications above, it looks like the 5085 is definitely the refreshed dv7-2000 series, while the 5054 might be the CQ60 refresh based on Softpaq documents (CQ61). As for the Mini 5041, I know there is a Mini 1000 refresh coming soon as well (Mini 1500), but it may not be the case here. The 5035 might be the CQ35, but again I'm not quite sure since there isn't much more information besides the specs (and the lack of information presented in Softpaq readmes).

The dv6t, dv6z, and dv7t all now have ATI Radeon graphics on the HP Shopping website, and they are available now to order. You can choose between the 512 MB ATI Mobility Radeon 4530, or the 1 GB ATI Mobility Radeon 4650.

15.6" display? That kinda sounds odd to me. would that put it between a 16:9 and a 16:10 display? Since the 16:9 dispalys seem to be the 16" screens.

That's it going forward. 16:10 is basically dead and dying. Like 4:3. Though there will still be some business notebooks made with them.

There is actually nothing new here but an entire aray of weird unconventional screen sizes. The graphics card are still offered. Nothing that new.

How does this card stack up against the one on the 18t? I'm wondering if I should wait to see what becomes of this new 17.3" notebook offering. Or will the HDX series will still be the "higher end" HP notebooks for the remainder of the year?

The 4650 benchmarks higher than the GeForce GT 130M.

4650 is quite high up there in terms of card. it sort of ranks about 10th spot in top graphics card. 9600 gt is about 15.

this is about desktop cards, but still a good guideline imo.

    http://blogs.amd.com/play/2009/02/25/the-biggest-graphics-question-of-2009/

if HP only offered more ati cards one can choose from..

as i said in an earlier post about new notebooks resp. spec. upgrades in 2009..

    Thanks for the update!

Hmmm...those *are* the more capable cards, but unfortunately they also add quite a bit to the final asking price. Will HP be selling any more AMD processor laptops with the basic Radeon 4000 IGP?

    Anyone?
