NO DISPLAY AFTER HIBERNATION OR STANDBY (dv6744tx)

Just bought hp's dv6744tx............. managed to install window XP(professional edition) it came with win vista.
All things working well EXCEPT one , which is that once the windows is resuming from a hibernation or a standby after showing the "resuming windows" display it goes blank.And after some time(a minute or two) at regular intervals cpu gives the error beep.
This model has a nvidia 8400GS graphics card.
Is it a simple driver conflict or something else .................. i have no idea.
Any sort of help is appreciated

My girlfriend's HP tablet does the same thing.

No known fix, but with hers, after we open the lid and resume, let it sit long enough to resume, then close the lid almost all the way and reopen it. Screen comes right up.

It's not a fluke, we've been doing it this way for 2 years and a thru multitude of updated drivers. HP's india support people are clueless to solve it.

install the video drives using the windows xp installation guide. its stickied (should be one of the three on top)
