    Dear friends,

After using recovery CDs , when the laptop "DV5177" wants to restart....
It shows " NTLDR is missing :(

This is my first time seeing this kind of error...

    What should I do?

    Please....

Thank you very much in advance.

    PS

    This is not my notebook...
My friend hadn't the original recovery disks...
I could find them from a shop...
I try to copy the file in c: directory but didn’t work :(

Problem probably stems from not using the correct recovery CD's. If the recovery image was expecting a different hard drive size then it might cause that error, or the files didn't copy correctly. My suggestion would be to reinstall windows from scratch with a Windows XP CD. If you try to use recovery CD's for a computer that they are not designed for, then you will probably end up with the wrong drivers installed as well. Easier just to do a clean install
