My screen is black. When I turn on my zv5000, the screen flashes on, but then it goes black--as if the back light is out, but it doesn't seem to be a back light problem as much as a software problem. When I mess with the nvidia settings, sometimes I can get it to come on, but that lasts until I reboot again. Anyone else having these problems???

The Toshiba Satellite 5000 series (the type I have) has similar problems to this. It seems that the notebook will have this problem at first and then eventually will have its screen malfunction and not work due to the VCard. I've recently been discovering that the Nvidia GeForce 4 is notorious for having these problems in notebooks.

I had toshiba P-10 series for 2 years with GeForce FX 5100Go and never had any problems. I guess it is related to hardware rather than driver.
