    NW8240 Travel Battery Causes Severe Overheating

    The battery covers the fan and will kill your motherboard. We've lost a few already on this issue. Don't use the travel battery until this issue is resolved.

    Part in question is:

    HEWLETT PACKARD / HP (Mfr. #: PB993A) - hp li-ion 8-cell common travel battery (notebooks / laptops / portable)


    This issue may be isolated to the NW8240, as the battery is "common" to many models.
