    NW8240 Wworkstation and Docking station

    HI

    I must report a problem with a compaq Mobile workstation NW8240 and its docking station ref PA287A:
    When you first switch the docking station ON, everything goes fine and all the USB ports on the docking station work fine.
    Then if you power off the portable from Windows, and later restart the portable the docking station does not switch ON and the USB ports on it do not work. The Power led on the docking station is off and pressing the left button has no effect.
    To fix the problem, every morning I have to unplug the DC power Supply on the docking station for a few seconds and then power on the notebook.

    It looks like an electronic fuse somewhere in the docking station or a deep power saving of the docking station that never wakes up.

    Any ideas or experience like mine around ?
