We are having troubles with some NX6110 and NX6120: After 3 to 6 moths of using it,batteries fail and wont charge.
This has happened to some 20 notebooks.
    Any reports on this?
ALso, does anybody knows the meaning of the results of the battery test that you can do from inside SETUP?
    TIA

:hp: ive had mine for almost 7 months..i hv absolutely no problem with the batteries..
Tell me do you tend to over-charge your battery?and how often do you charge it?
My opinion is to charge only when the battery is down to like 10-15% and once its on 100% ful charge then to keep the ac plugged in and to remove your battery...thats what i do and i still have a battery life of a good 4 hours...:hp:

Modern batteries shouldn't have a problem when being plugged in 24/7. It's when you keep charging it from 5-10% that it hurts the battery. Because the state of the battery keeps changing up and down. So if the battery is at a constant 99-100% it will last longer due to less fluctuation.

My old compaq's battery was plugged in my laptop for almost 3 years and it was absolutely fine. I think the hp battery has 1 year warranty, am I wrong?

HP/Compaq have a 1yr warranty. So if the battery is truly dead he should be able to get a RMA with no problem.
